Local entrepreneurs are essential to a vibrant, diverse and prosperous economy. The Liberty CDC supports their creativity and initiative with technical and financial assistance, coaching and mentoring programs, and networking opportunities.
Micro Enterprise Program
The Village of Liberty has launched a Micro Enterprise program to support new and expanding businesses in its downtown district. Made possible through a $200,000 grant from the Governor's Office for Small Cities, the program offers a combination of grants & zero-interest loans. The program is administered by the Liberty CDC.
Eligibility is restricted to businesses located – or planning to locate – in the historic downtown and Mill Street gateway districts: from North Main & Buckley Streets down to the new traffic circle at Exit 100, plus a block deep into the side streets. In line with the program requirements, successful applicants will need to demonstrate that their start-up or expansion projects create new jobs. Applications will be reviewed on a ‘first come – first serve' basis, awards are decided by a Review Committee. There is no set deadline but Village and Liberty CDC expect applications to surpass funds available.

Please send your application and supporting documentation (check- list on page 8 of the Program Guidelines) to the Liberty CDC.
